This section contains articles addressing many areas of Al-Islam.

The role of women in Al-Islam is one of the most misunderstood and vilified roles in the West. Many believe that as a result of women wearing Hijab, that Islamic women are oppressed and are forced to be subservient to Muslim men. Little do they know that the Qur’an teaches that both men and women can attain the same levels of mental and spiritual development. It does not make the woman a lesser creature than man in respect to mental and spiritual capabilities. Al-Islam gave women the right to vote, to own properties and to initiate divorce 1400 years ago long before women in the western world got those rights in the 1920s during the suffrage movement. The Qur’an prescribes modesty for both men and women, not a specific dress covering. The Burqah and Abiyah are cultural expressions with the obligatory wearing of the veil being introduced into Islamic culture -- under the influence of the Greeks of Christian Byzantium -- more than 300 years after the passing of Prophet Muhammad (saaw).  Interestingly though the largest number of converts today to Al-Islam are women. This section will help elucidate the role of women in Al-Islam for correct understanding.

Suicide is strictly forbidden in Al-Islam. From the Islamic perspective ALLAH is the author of life and it is only He who could take life or tell human beings what conditions a life should be taken under. As human beings we don't own our lives, ALLAH does.  As such we don't have the authority to take it. Suicide is disrespecting ALLAH and being ungrateful for the life He has given us. Today we are led to believe that while Islam strongly condemns suicide, somehow Muslims have become the best promoters of it. As a result of conflicts in Muslim countries, suddenly we have suicidal Muslims rising up all over the world in absolute disobedience to the teachings in their religion. Oddly enough in Iraq, Israel, India and other countries, non-Muslim perpetrators were caught faking suicide bombings to be blamed on Muslims. So what does the Qur’an and Hadiths say about suicide and what has been the example of Muslims throughout history regarding using suicide as a technique in war? Are Muslims really responsible for all the suicide bombings that the media is blaming them for? This section will address these questions and many more.

This section presents articles that will help the true truth seeker to understand the religion of Al-Islam. Articles discussing the basic tenets of the religion, religious philosophy, and Islamic history as well as articles dispelling common myths, propaganda and deliberate misinformation are also presented. In this open season of outrageous attacks against Al-Islam and Muslims, it is very important that the true truth seeker be able to ascertain truths from falsehood. The articles in this section will help in that process.

There is much going on in the international arena affecting Muslims. But at the same time there is also a lot happening in the US affecting the lives of American Muslims as well. American Muslims need to identify with the global war on Al-Islam and to see themselves as one with all Muslims. Rather than isolation and separation they should be unifying with all Muslims as prescribed in the teachings of Al-Islam. Today’s enemies of Al-Islam are not making a distinction and are on a violent rampage to attack ALL Muslims. Not just with armies and weapons of war but with propaganda, media, and the legal system. This section will deal with articles affecting American Muslims.

This section presents in simple accusation and response format, answers to common distortions and fabrications made against the religion of Al-Islam.  Subjects such as the meaning of Jihad, treatment of women, terrorism, slavery, spread of Al-Islam by the sword, racism, religious tolerance, honor killings, concept of Allah and other subjects will be addressed. The intent of this section is to address, head on, the most common charges made against Al-Islam portrayed in main stream media today and by enemies of Al-Islam. It will provide ready answers to those most critical of Al-Islam.

Does Al-Islam oppose science?
This section will present how Al-Islam views science. It will address the revelations in Qur'an and their relationship to modern scientific discoveries. Historical analysis will also be done showing the tremendous contributions to science made by Muslim scientists. Attention will be given to the approach towards science in the Muslim world. Unlike the early history in the West, where anything discovered in science that differed from religious teachings were condemned and scientists persecuted or even put to death for daring to espouse their scientific findings, the attitude in the Islamic world was different. Instead of condemnation and persecution, Islamic scientists found satisfaction and encouragement from the revelations in the Qur'an for their scientific pursuits.  In fact the most scientific minds in the Muslim world were also the most religious.
