‘…Saudi Arabia is a puppet at the disposal of superpowers, the Houthi leader said, adding that Riyadh is putting in action the US-Israeli conspiracy in Yemen.

He noted that the US-Israeli plot in Yemen aims to break up the chaotic country and deprive people of security and freedom.

Al-Houthi said the Saudi invasion of Yemen came after their agents, including al-Qaeda terrorists and the ISIL Takfiri terrorists, failed to execute their plots in Yemen.

He said the “criminal” attacks uncovered the “tyrannical” nature of the Saudi regime.

Al-Houthi warned that Saudi Arabia would face consequences should it push ahead with its aggression against Yemen, saying, “We will confront the criminal forces and their tools in the country.”

“You think you can kill Yemeni people, but this is because of your stupidity,” he said. “This unjustified aggression shows the hostility and arrogance of this regime. The attacks are reflecting the inhumanity of the aggressor.”

Al-Houthi said the “aggressors” should keep in mind that the Yemeni people are “committed to defending their country and revolution” by relying on God…….’

Egyptian Pilot Arrested for Refusing to Bomb Yemen

 ‘The Egyptian air force has arrested one of its pilots after he disobeyed orders for taking part in airstrikes against Yemen.

“I joined the army and studied to become a pilot to strike Israel and not Yemen,” Arab news website Omran Press quoted the arrested Egyptian pilot as saying.

Saudi Arabia has been striking Yemen for five days now, killing, at least, 73 civilians and injuring hundreds more.

Five Persian Gulf States -- Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait -- and Egypt that are also assisted by Israel and backed by the US have declared war on Yemen in a joint statement issued on Thursday.

At least 45 people have been killed and 65 others wounded in an airstrike by Saudi warplanes targeting a camp for displaced people in northwest Yemen, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) says.

Saudi Airstrikes Hit Yemen Refugee Camp, 45 Civilians Killed

Saudi warplanes attacked the al-Mazzrak refugee camp in Yemen’s Hajjah Province today, killing at least 45 civilians and wounding some 200 others, according to aid workers on the ground.

Saudi officials were quick to deny responsibility for the killings, and declared that the Houthis they are at war with inexplicably attacked the camp. This was in spite of Saudi officials bragging only yesterday they’d destroyed every warplane in Yemen.

Doctors Without Borders and other aid groups confirmed that the attack was indeed an airstrike, and there seems no serious doubt it was a Saudi strike, just the latest in an air campaign that is increasingly targeting civilians.

EU foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini, has warned about the alarming impact of the ongoing Saudi attacks on the civilian population in Yemen.

Coalition preventing Red Cross from delivering aid to Yemen: spokeswoman

Members of the Saudi-led coalition are preventing a plane carrying medical supplies from landing in Sanaa, a spokesman for the International Committee of the Red Cross told Reuters on Tuesday.

The Red Cross in a statement called on the coalition to remove "obstacles to the delivery to Yemen of vital medical supplies needed to treat casualties from a week of deadly clashes and airstrikes," according to Reuters.

Iraqi Militiamen Plan To Travel To Yemen To Battle U.S.-Backed Coalition

Iran-backed Shiite militiamen in Iraq say they're ready to take up arms in a country most of them have never been to: Yemen.

“We defeated ISIS in Syria, we’re defeating ISIS in Iraq, and we’ll defeat them in Yemen,” Abu Kumael, a volunteer fighter with the powerful Iran-supported Shiite militia known as the Peace Brigades, told The WorldPost Monday. “We’re not just talking. We’re physically ready to go and fight.”

In Iraq, the militias are working on the same side as U.S. forces against the self-declared Islamic State. But once the militiamen get to Yemen, they'll be fighting not for the U.S., but against the Americans -- which means that the U.S. will be battling the same forces, and in some cases the very same men, that ISIS is taking on in Iraq.

The US government's invasions and occupations in this region are bearing bitter fruit all across the Middle East.

The deBaathification of Iraq was one of the most pig-headedly, ham-fistedly idiotic things the Bush administration decided to do, and led to a literal civil war between the Sunni-Shiite religious elements in this country.

It appears that neither of the last two administrations, collectively, had the intellectual capability of think a scenario through to its logical conclusion; in fact, that particular logic-disabled thinking seemed to be a prerequisite for employment with both administrations.

But there is one thing of which I am reasonably certain; the catastrophic failure of geopolitical imagination, which lead to the invasion and occupation of Iraq; the assassination of Qaddafi in Libya; the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan; and the propping up of a US-sponsored dictator in Yemen, Al-Hadi, nearly guarantees DC's need for more US boots on the ground in the Middle East to attempt to sop up the mess of blood and political movements not to the US government's liking.

Looking at how rapidly events are unfolding, it is only a matter of time. And were I a betting woman, I would not bet against the timing of this being very soon, before the onset of summer.

Saudi war on Yemen condemned, Bahrainis protesting against it tortured

The Saudi aggression on Yemen has been received by Bahraini people with anger, indignation and protests. For the past week the people have been demonstrating against the Saudi war against the poorest Arab country in order to eliminate public rebellion against the endemic tyranny and dictatorship in the region. The Saudis have taken it on their shoulder to obliterate people’s will and use their financial, political and religious tools against the masses who in these days four years ago, poured into the streets demanding an end to the dictatorship in their countries. The Saudis led the counter revolution and removed every sign of popular willingness to revolt against the established political order. The war on Yemen is the latest. The first was the Saudi invasion and occupation of Bahrain in mid-March 2011.

The Alkhalifa dictatorship has gone further. It banned anyone from expressing a view on the Saudi aggression different from the official one. While they encouraged pro-war protests they came hard against the opponents of the military attacks on Yemen. Several people have now been arrested for opposing this unjust war, including Fadhel Abbas, the Secretary General of the Nationalist Unionist Society, and two of his aides. They face imprisonment for up to ten years merely for opposing the Saudi aggression.

Two weeks after the unprovoked attacks on the helpless detainees at the notorious Jaw prison, there are scores of native prisoners who have “disappeared” from their cells and whose fate is still unknown. Pressure from the Red Cross on Alkhalifa tyrants forced them to allow some visits. Only then did the horrors of what had taken place in mid March come to light. But the dictator has imposed a ban on Bahrain 13 (leaders of the Revolution). Their family visits phone calls have been stopped. The bodies of the prisoners bear witness to one of the most vicious attacks on prisoners anywhere in the world. They were beaten, gassed, tortured, placed in solitary confinement, denied food or medicine and physically abused. Human Rights Watch has called for an independent investigation into the atrocities committed by the Jordanian mercenaries on Bahraini prisoners. Reports claim that those mercenaries are still torturing the prisoners. Every morning they rush into the cells and spill ice-cold water on them in their sleep.

Meanwhile the attacks on native Bahrainis have continued with arrests and abuse reported daily. On 28th March Sayed Mohammad Sayed Khalil was kidnapped at one of the check points and taken to torture houses. No news about him has been received. From Sitra Wadyan three people were taken in raids on their homes in the early hours of 31st March: Ahmad Hassan Ali Kadhem, Qader Abdullah AlMafyouh Abu AlAish and Ali Marzooq Abdulla Karim.  Sayed Saeed Isa Hussain, father of martyr Sayed Hashim  who was killed on 31st December 2011 in Sitra was arrested when he went to the police to renew his driving licence. Several fathers of martyrs were arrested in revenge for their steadfastness and their insistence on bringing killers of their children to justice. On 26th March three women were arrested for protesting against the attack on their sons at Jaw prison: Zainab Ghuloom, Maryam Atiyya and Najla BuGrais. A Bahraini student in Jordan was arrested, tortured and handed to Alkhalifa tor turers. Jaffar Jassim was deported by the Jordanian authorities after the role of the Jordanian mercenaries in attacking Jaw prison was confirmed.

An article about the dire situation in Bahrain was written by Emanuel Stoakes and published by Foreign Policy, titled: “Whatever happened to Bahrain’s torture reforms”. It is a report on the continued abuses inflicted on Bahrainis. The article highlights the case of Human Rights activist, Hussain Jawad, who has been in jail for more than a month and who was severely tortured.

In its 2015 report Freedom House has downgraded Bahrain’s rank on people’s rights. Bahrain’s political rights rating declined from 6 to 7 due to grave flaws in the 2014 legislative elections and the government’s unwillingness to address long-standing grievances among the majority Shiite community about the drawing of electoral districts and the possibility of fair representation.

On 30th March Human Rights First published an article by Erica Qualliotine titled “Statelessness is a human rights violation”. The author said: U.S. allies, including Bahrain and Kuwait, are stripping political dissidents of their citizenship. “At this time, when the U.S. has taken an unprecedented interest in preventing and eradicating statelessness, it should be pressing Gulf governments to promote and protect the right to nationality, and to refrain in all cases from withdrawing citizenship because of peaceful dissident activities,” urged Sarnata Reynolds from Refugees International.

The heinous crime committed last week by Alkhalifa dictators on powerless prisoners at Jaw Prison is still reverberating within the community as well as the human rights world. In addition to more than 106 injuries, there are still over 50 inmates who have “disappeared”. It is feared that they are being subjected to torture at the secret houses built for the purpose on “advice” of a friendly Western government. The images of injuries confirm vicious attacks by merciless members of the Death Squads, operated by the royal court.

Meanwhile in Geneva Alkhalifa regime has been squarely condemned by delegates of governments and NGOs. In a statement on 17th March the Denmark’s Permanent Mission in Geneva called for the release of political prisoners in Bahrain especially the human rights defenders like Abdul Hadi Al Khawaja. This time Alkhalifa dictators will have no choice but to take the Danish call seriously. Last week Sweden condemned Saudi Arabia for its blatant violation of human rights and stopped military deal with Riyadh. The move was hailed by the human rights activists loath policies of some Western governments of appeasing Gulf dictators and turning blind eyes to their attacks on civil liberties. Sweden's Social Democrat-led government, which came to power last October, has focused its foreign policy on human rights. "The decision on the Saudi agreement had been made some time ago," the newspaper Dagens Nyheter quoted Prime Minister Stefan Lofven as saying in the Ukrainian capital Kiev . "What has happened in recent days hasn't been decisive." On Monday 9th March, Saudi Arabia blocked Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom from giving a speech to the League of Arab States in Cairo. A spokesman for Wallstrom said the decision stemmed from Sweden's criticism of Saudi Arabia's human rights record.

Yesterday Bahraini native, Munthir Hassan, from Buri Town was snatched in a dawn raid on his house. Ihsan Abdul Redha was arrested and accused of fabricated charges. Jaffar Mawali was snatched from his home despite his mother’s pleas to leave him alone. She collapsed and was taken to hospital by her relatives. The family of Hassan Al Ma’yoof, 20, were subjected to horrific abuse including beating when regime’s Death Squads attacked their home last week to arrest their son on fabricated charges. Children were beaten and their mother was subjected to horrible abuse.

As the regime imposed blackout on the news of victims of its horrendous attacks on Jaw Prison, families have become extremely worried about the safety of their beloved ones. The family of Khalil Al Halwachi has not heard of him since he was taken away from his cell one week ago. Ahmad and Jaffar Awn have also disappeared from their cells with no news of their whereabout. Mohammad Sahwan, who was seriously injured in the attack and his nephew, Yousuf Sahwan, have also disappeared with no news about their welfare or whereabout. The disappeared include Ali Hajji, Ali Al Qaffas, Abd Ali Al Singace, Naji Fateel, Abbas Al Ekri, Mohammad Sarhan, Abbas Al Sami’, Ali Al Ghanmi and Ahmad Humaidan. Several of the senior leadership of the Revolution reported continuing cries of the victims as Alkhalifa continued their merciless attacks on native Bahraini detainees.

The Jordanian government is under pressure to withdraw its police forces from Bahrain in the wake of their participation in the bloody attack on Jaw Prison last week. Human Rights activists have accused the Jordanians of brutality and mercilessness as they waged their ferocious attack on native Bahraini prisoners. The regime depends on foreign forces to quell natives and remain in power.

It has been revealed that UK has increased its supplies of lethal weapons used to kill Bahrainis. According to the Committee Against Arms Trade (CAAT), More than $100 million worth of light arms (used to shoot protesters) have been supplied to Bahrain since 2011. Lawyers in London are threatening a judicial review of military assistance and support provided by Britain to the Bahraini government. Solicitors at Deighton Pierce Glynn, in London, are challenging the legality of the move on the grounds that Britain did not conduct a review of human rights risks before agreeing to build the base. "Your security is our security," declared British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond, signing the agreement to construct the base, alongside Bahrain's Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed al-Khalifa. British lawyers are asking the government to hand over documents that might shed light on the precise nature of military and security cooperation between the UK and Bahrain. "If has nothing to hide,& quot; said Deighton Pierce Glynn lawyer Sue Willman, "why is it refusing to release documents about what assistance is being provided and to whom?". In February, Jane Kinninmont, a senior research fellow at the London-based think tank Chatham House, told VICE News that Bahrain's clamp down on the opposition has "only intensified since the base was announced…The base has probably given the government more confidence."

Russia to build Jordan’s first $10bn nuclear power plant

Russia has signed a $10 billion agreement with Jordan for the construction of the country’s first nuclear power plant. Jordan currently lacks local energy sources and struggles to meet its growing electricity demand.

The agreement between Russia's state-run Rosatom and the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission was signed on Tuesday in Amman. The contract is for the construction of a two-unit 2,000 megawatt power plant in the north of the country by 2022.
