"O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise each other)."
The Qur'an recognizes that we have differences but those differences are there to make us know each other and not despise each other.
"When we read the Quran and Bible with proper understanding, we can clearly see that these great religious leaders were not divided one against the other. Jesus not only supported the scripture that Moses taught, but he interpreted it and explained it so that the people could get more light on what Moses had taught them. When Prophet Muhammad of Arabia came behind Jesus, he did the same thing. He spoke from the scriptures that Jesus had left and he explained and interpreted what Jesus left. If our great heroes in religion have not divided themselves one against the other, and if they have shown us that they belonged to one unified family, why are we divided?"

The establishment of a Kingdom of God on earth has always been the objective of Islam. It starts with the individual and spreads to society. The very word Muslim means one who submits their will to do the Will of God. On an individual level as well as on a societal level the objective of Islamic living is to do the Will of God. The Islamic prescription for life fits in perfectly with what Jesus (pbuh) taught about God's Will being done on earth as it is in heaven. As Jesus (pbuh) also said not his will but Thy Will be done. Islam is the fulfillment of that prayer from Christ (pbuh).
The Kingdom of God in Islam is not merely following a set of rules, blind rituals, etc but enlightenment designed to bring about the greatest growth possible for human beings and for them to have a true heaven on earth as well as enjoying a heaven in the Hereafter.
As for God Himself, the Qur'an declares His dominion in many places as in the following verse:
God! There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory). [2:255]
The first chapter of the Qur'an and the one that is most often repeated in the daily Muslim prayers, captures in a nutshell the relationship of human beings to God for the establishment of the Creator's rule on earth. That chapter named Al-Fatiha which means the Opening is as follows:
Quote: As for the growth process that every human being should go through to reach the stage of enlightenment, peace and tranquility that the Creator intended for all of us to achieve, the Qur'an captures that in many places. Here are a few verses capturing that:
Quote: So in Islam establishing a Kingdom of God on earth is ESSENTIAL. All of the injunctions and practices within the religion is geared towards assuring that human beings achieve this Kingdom of Heaven on earth.

Joe, I answered your question above and I am going to post it again below as well as send it to you as an email. Just want to make sure you get it and can respond to my answer:

There is an entire Chapter in the Koran for Jesus and his mother Mary. Muslims also believe Jesus is the Messiah.
Jews believe Jesus is boiling in dung in hell.
Mohammad preached the SAME message Jesus did. Mohammad also talked about the return of Jesus. Jesus also talked about Mohammad. That was lost in translation of course...
wake up fellow Christians. Islam is NOT the enemy
