The recent arrival of the Russian Marines and Air Force to the Syrian port-city of Tartous has generated a significant amount of interest around the world, as the possibility of Russia’s direct military intervention becomes the focal point of the war on ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham
As the Obama administration's policies of regime change and armed intervention in Syria flounder, the retired general who oversaw the failed wars in Iraq and Afghanistan added his voice to the hawkish chorus calling for even more aggressive bombing and military action as he testified before lawmakers on Tuesday.
Speaking to the Senate Armed Services Committee, David Petraeus called for the U.S. and allies to use their air forces to create a "safe haven" in Syria for "moderate" rebels. Going further, he urged the U.S. to use military force to stop the air-launching of barrel bombs by the Assad regime, while simultaneously increasing attacks on ISIS.
Britain has not discussed military operations in Syria against the Islamic State with Russia, UK Defence Secretary Michael Fallon said on Tuesday, adding that Moscow’s presence in the region ‘complicates’ the situation.
For six months there has been a blockade of food and fuel, and management of aid (even that through the UN) as part of war strategy, bombing of civilian, historical, educational, religious and medical targets, destruction of infrastructure from roads to electricity and water, and use of prohibited weapons.
All of this occurs in a country of over twenty million persons, which has no effective air defences – a country as open to aerial bombardment as Gaza. Yet as an Israeli Foreign Ministry official has pointed out, the principles of international humanitarian law systematically violated in Yemen are those invoked by UN bodies, governments, the Western media, and civil organisations when they charge Israel with the commission of war crimes in Gaza.
In other words, by its silence and support for Coalition bombing in Yemen, the international community completes the erasure of legal reference in war.
WRH.COM Webmaster's Commentary:
The reason for the media silence on Yemen is that it is a huge embarrassment for the United States. Only a few years ago, President Obama declared Yemen a "successful intervention", meaning the US had tossed out the government of a sovereign nation and replaced it with a puppet ruler; a tactic the US has attempted with some 50 nations since the end of WW2.
But the people of these conquered nations refuse to stay conquered and have developed a bad habit of kicking their US puppet rulers out, which is why the US has had to go back into Libya a second time, Iraq a third time, and (using Saudi Arabia as a proxy) try to re-conquer Yemen after the people of Yemen gave the heave-ho to their US puppet ruler.
the American people are tired of their tax money and the life and limb of their children being spent in the imposition of US dollar hegemony over the planet, which is why the US is trying to keep such actions away from the public eye.
Largely off the radar in the United States, Saudi Arabia has continued its “coalition” air war against rebels in Yemen, killing more than a thousand civilians with the help of American weapons.
In addition to providing cluster bombs and other deadly ordinance, the U.S. has given the Saudis “military intelligence and logistical assistance” in attacking the Houthis, the rebel group that toppled the Yemeni government, according to The New York Times.
“The loss of civilian life in Hajja shows why most countries have made a commitment never to use cluster munitions,” said Ole Solvang, senior emergencies researcher for Human Rights Watch. “These weapons not only kill or injure people at the time of attack, but the unexploded submunitions go on killing long afterward.”

The OPEC oil-producing states of the Middle East, including Iran, through the skillful mediation of Russia, are carefully laying the foundations for a truly new world order.
Kurds are close allies with Israel and am certain that the Kurds are being used to incite trouble and unrest in Turkey as they did within Iraq and I suspect also causing the riots with Refugees in Europe! I believe many Kurds at Kobani were working with and were a part of ISIS and not fighting them- their allegiance is to Kurds like the Zionist traitor Barzani and not to Syria or Iraq]

Saudis to Israel: “Help, Cousins!”
Ariadna: You can’t make this stuff up… Let me see if I get it straight: the Saudis and UAE, aided by Israel and with green light from the US are conducting an aggressive, destructive war against Yemen, which fits Israel’s expansionist agenda. The Saudi pilots are not doing very well– it’s the Russians! — and the Saudi Foreign Minister is crying for more direct help from Israel because…. he admires the Israelis (whom he considers “cousins”) for their proficiency in fighting the Lebanese and the Palestinians, who — I guess — are definitely not their “cousins.” He expects the world to admire the “comradeship” and amicable co-existence between Saudi Arabia and Israel…]
According to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Adel al-Jubeir, the newly appointed foreign minister tacitly recognized his country’s failure to rout Single-handedly Yemen’s anti-Saudi rebels and called on regional allies, namely Qatar and UAE, to help Saudi Arabia to end the protracted war on Yemen.
“I personally discussed the Yemeni issue with His Royal Highness the King and to find a feasible solution to terminate this dilemma, I suggested Israeli help as our only hope to end the status quo , as they [Israelis] are highly skilled and indeed proficient in this kind of warfare through decades in their confrontations with Lebanese and Palestinian militias and to my delight, His Highness King Salman put this proposal forward for further consideration,” Qatari News Agency (QNA) quoted Mr. Al-Jubeir as saying on Friday during his recent regional tour to Arab Gulf States.
To the detriment of our inexperienced pilots, added Mr. Al-Jubeir, the Yemeni revolutionaries have in their possession the Russian lethal shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles and we lost a sum of 28 of F-15 fighters, thus in this crucial times , we are in dire need of Tel Aviv’s military prowess to curb Iran’s slow but gradual encroachment in Yemen, so I hope one day this futile Israeli hesitation to intervene in Yemen would end and the entire world will witness the comradeship and amicable co-existence between kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Israel, after all we are historically cousins.
[just who is this lying Jubeir kidding- as Israeli pilots have already been assisting the Saudis to BOMB Yemenis which is why so many Civilian areas have been targeted just as the Israeli have done against Palestinians in GAZA] SINCE WHEN have Palestinians ever threatened the SAUDIS?? JUBEIR is the NEW ‘BANDAR’ for the Jewish House of SEWERS, whose father I believe is a BIG SHOT Businessman in the UK!! Insidious and corrupt to the core. Iran Key to Unlocking US Hypocrisy on Global Terrorism
By Finian Cunningham
Once we step back from the indoctrinated official Western narratives about terrorism, and supposed Western claims of fighting a "war on terror", many seeming conundrums suddenly become clear. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article42924.htm
The rape of young boys in Afghanistan by our “allies” is getting a
lot of press attention these days, provoked by the revelation that US military personnel who tried to stop it are being disciplined for interfering. Two US officers apparently beat up one of our pet warlords, who insisted on keeping a boy chained to his bed as a sex slave: this kind of rough justice got one relieved of his command and the other is being forced to retire.
Because it relatively poorly understood and under-reported in comparison to other more notorious terrorist groups, the Turkish-Uyghur terror network is perhaps more dangerous and of greater utility to the United States and its allies presently versus their increasingly exposed Al Qaeda legions.
The genesis of modern Turkish-sponsored terrorism, like Al Qaeda, also originates from the Cold War. Part of the wider stay-behind networks known as “Gladios” created by NATO to allegedly fight Soviet forces in the event of a Soviet invasion and occupation of Western Europe, these terrorist groups were instead turned against the population of NATO member states and engaged in violence, terrorism, mass murder, and assassinations. A group of ultra-nationalists known as the “Grey Wolves” would be cultivated for this task within Turkey.
Mind Controlled, brainwashed, tortured and the released- only explanation for this abnormal behaviour. Just what the Jews wanted- to spread fear within Europe, to depict Muslims as just killers as they chant their blasphemous Allahu Akhbars!! All neatly packaged – cause a problem get the expected reaction which will be followed by a solution- and no one questions it- just the usual anticipated condemnation and name calling and demonisation of Arabs who have been put through hell and back.

ANOTHER PHONY ‘MUSLIM’-
Idi Amin and His Israeli Enablers
Although Idi Amin’s penchant for Scotland has been glamourized in Hollywood film (1), the incontrovertible role Israel played in the demagogue’s ascent to power has all but been omitted from the annals of history. Like Nelson Mandela, and other African leaders at the forefront of the continent’s de-colonization and liberation movements, Amin received much of his military training in Israel; first as a paratrooper with the IDF, then with Mossad and Israeli Secret Police.
Idi Amin Dada Oumee was President of Uganda from 25 January 1971 to 11 April 1979. His tenure in officeis characterised by egregious human rights violations, repression of non-Muslims, sectarian violence, and the ethnic cleansing of Uganda’s minority populations. Amin oversaw the killing of hundreds of thousands of his countrymen, the nation’s Anglican archbishop, chief judge, and an assortment of political rivals, as well as wives and lovers — with whom he’s said to have sired more than five dozen children. In total, Amnesty International estimates Amin’s terror squads murdered more than half a million Ugandans during the mad dictator’s eight year reign of brutality…..’
‘………………..Tikun Olam author and Israeli journalist, Richard Silverstein, writes, “Africa has for decades been a playground for Israel: both in the literal sense as a spot for Israelis to play in the sun (Kenya, Zanzibar, Sharm el-Sheikh—not technically in Africa, but Egypt is); and in the figurative sense regarding Israeli diplomats and spies who’ve woven their webs of intrigue there. In the days of Ben Gurion, he saw Africa as a weight to counter the hostile influence of the Arab world. That’s why Israeli development and aid projects were so intensively pursued in the 1950s and 60s.”
Although most Israelis viewed sub-Saharan “Cushi” (4) in a less than favourable light and records demonstrate an initial reluctance to deal with Black African leaders, Israel would successfully infiltrate several burgeoning African liberation movements. Idi Amin, Mandela and Mugabe were just a few of the leaders Israel would court. After all, who knows more about Western European oppression than Jews? This was in fact an entry-tactic Israeli operatives would employ during the grooming process. The fact that many in the Ashkenazi Israeli ruling class had light hair, light eyes and spoke with thick Brooklyn accents, and the Israelis themselves were colonisers with bloodlines from Central and Eastern Europe, was lost on the likes of anti-Whites like Amin and Mugabe.
When on the 25 January 1971 Major-General Amin announced on Kampala radio that he’d seized power from Obote — who was overseas at the time, most assumed that Amin’s allies in Ted Heath’s Tory government were behind the coup. Obote, who was a staunch opponent of British arms sales to South Africa, had fallen out of favour with Great Britain. His very public haranguing of Heath that week at the Commonwealth summit in Singapore seemed the likely motivation behind Britain’s deal with Amin. However, British Foreign Office papers released in 2002 pointed their finger squarely at Israel.
British Historian Richard Dowden wrote:
The initial telegrams to London from the High Commissioner in Kampala, Richard Slater, showed a man shocked and bewildered by the coup. But he quickly turned to the man who he thought might know what was going on; Colonel Bar-Lev, the Israeli defence attaché. He found the Israeli colonel with Amin. They had spent the morning of the coup together.
Another of Slater’s telegrams stated that according to Colonel Bar-Lev, the Israelis had “moved quickly to consolidate the coup”, adding, “Amin is now firmly in control of all elements of army [sic] which controls vital points in Uganda. The Israeli defence attaché discounts any possibility of moves against Amin.”
Slater told colleagues in Whitehall (6), that Bar-Lev had explained “in considerable detail” how “all potential foci of resistance, both up-country and in Kampala, had been eliminated.”
Dr. Arye Oded, of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs writes:
Indeed, as chief of staff Amin had had good relations with Israeli military officers and was considered a friend of Israel. As noted, he had taken a paratroopers’ course in Israel. Israelis gave him the name Hagai Ne’eman, which means reliable helmsman and is a Hebrew translation of the Swahili name Idi Amin. Moreover, as a member of the Kakwa tribe located near the border with Sudan, Amin supported the southern Sudanese rebels with whom he had an ethnic affinity. He shared the Israelis’ interest in aiding the southern Sudanese rebellion, whereas Obote was more cautious and even requested that Israel stop all assistance to the southern Sudanese through Uganda.
The close cooperation between Amin and the Israelis, especially with the then head of the Israeli military mission, Colonel Baruch Bar-Lev, along with Israel’s displeasure with Obote, led some to infer that Israel helped Amin in his coup. Obote himself publicly accused Israel of doing so. Historians and other commentators, however, denied such allegations and emphasize other factors involving developments within Uganda and the strained relationship between Obote and Amin. One such historian is Michael Lofchie. (5) (JCPA, Jewish Political Studies Review 18:3-4, Oct 1, 2006)…………………’
